Rock guitarists have always been my idols. Here are my favorite axemen.
	Eddie Van Halen played guitar like there were no rules. His solos are always wild, whacky and it always sounded like he was having a blast playing them.. and of course, he left everyone else far behind.
Mark Knopfler, frontman for Dire Straits(does anyone remember them ?) he’s by far my all time favorite. Apart from the Dire Straits albums and his lesser known solo albums, he was also a session guitar whiz.. he was so good that others wanted him to play on their albums ! Its unbelievable that even in the middle of a rocking, uptempto song the guitar solos he crafted would always be magically melodious and full of emotion.
	“Eric Clapton is God” declared graffiti in London. He truly belongs in the pantheon of guitar gods. His spontaneity with the guitar and the way he makes guitar-playing look so easy amazes me.
Stevie Ray Vaughan- He really pushes his guitar to the limit. I havent been able to completely master even one of his solor. My fingers hurt too much from trying ! He’s incredible.
